I thought I'd show you some of the work I've been doing in college for Mixed Media.
Mixed Media My work is based on water JMW Turner and David Hockney. I have created several prints on the basis of Turner, that hung in the classroom while they dry, but I also did some paint work.
The first is from Turner blizzard: Steamboat off a Harbour mouth. I just love the rhythm in this piece, and I am in complete awe of how to live his paintings are. For my version, I used quink background and dark color, which I'm allowed to dry in.Then I added a blob of color and use the Pritt Stick to spread the paint. I then went back to the pork with dry brush your hair type to give me a dry-brush strokes. I spend a lot of time with different layers of paint, trying to build a texture, that Turner was well known. I kept my palette is limited to Payne's Gray, zinc and titanium white, Quinacridone Red Oxide, Yellow Deep Cadmium and cobalt and Phthalo Blue (green shade). I used zinc white for mixing, and Titanium White for the news.
